Invading London With The Launch Of Black Sails for HISTORY

HISTORY briefed EdenCancan to deliver an activity that would generate significant buzz around the premiere of the channel’s all new gritty, pirate based drama Black Sails.

In the space of three days, EdenCancan created a guerrilla style stunt that would capture the imagination of Londoners, drive social media word of mouth, and garner media coverage ahead of the show’s debut.

The stunt involved a band of ‘pirates’ invading iconic landmarks of London, complete with boat and treasure. Trafalgar Square’s fountains and the Serpentine Boating Lake were just two of the spots held to ransom by the pirates, creating brilliant reactions from the crowds, ready to be caught on camera for media and social use.
